After 8 months of lockdown, I hope each and every one of you are happily getting ready for the colourful joyful festive of India.I wish, you bought your new trendy dresses, crackers, sweets and Gifts. Diwali is not only the celebration, but also the remembrance of our ancient traditional protocol to face the north east monsoon of Tamilnadu.
Right from my childhood, the traditional flavours of our Indian kitchen, coated with love and care, bagged the first place in my Diwali list. This Cherishable practices was carried out ages and ages, from my grand grandma to my grand ma and from my grandma to my ma’s kitchen without missing the roots.Sprang up as the ultimate, ageless cuisine,referred as the most likeable lickable.This is the mere combination of sweet,astringent,bitter and pungent tastes made in the form of a lickable prepared out of Jaggery,Honey,Ghee,Sesame oil and last but not the least, the most valuable, essential spices of india - Dhaniya, Milagu, Suku, Inji, Thippili,
kandan Thippili,Jeerakam,Omam and Varali Manjal.This combo is commonly known as the Anjarai Petti of our kitchen enriched with all the needed digestive and carminative actions rolled like a small round ball and given early in the morning at empty stomach soon after ganga snanam.
In India,our ancient sages, have significantly observed and formatted certain preventive measures to be followed to overcome the hurdles of seasonal change of Rainy and winter, for the betterment of our life.Our human body is more prone to indigestion during this time due to the ill-effects of the heavy foods that one may indulge in, at,any time.This rapidly will weaken the immunity and make one more susceptible to catch cold , fever, diarrhoea, etc..
